As the holidays approach and the stress piles on most of us turn to food for comfort. In hopes of being proactive we have complied some of our favorite simple tips to avoid overeating especially during the holidays.

  1. Drink water upon rising and throughout the day (dehydration is too often confused with hunger)
  2. Focus on the veggies! They are delicious, nutritious, & will always be lower in calories so pile them on!
  3. Drink a juice or smoothie 30-60 min before eating a full meal. This will help avoid picking in between meals and overeating by the time you sit down.
  4. Walk! It is so important to get things moving especially after eating a heavier meal. If you can take a walk around your block your body will thank you for it!
