Although buying Local and Organic is best, it is common knowledge that it comes at a price and is sometimes difficult to find.  The lists below can help you decide which fruit or vegetables are worth the extra expense when buying organic based on which produce contain the highest amounts of pesticide residue.  When buying organic is not an option the column that lists the least contaminated produce serves as a good reference as to which conventionally grown produce are safer options to purchase and consume.
